Looks like I am the first to do this. So guys, Churby here. Some of you have had the misfortune of knowing me. His is one of my two boys here, Nida Nomura. He’s 21 and very tired with the world. As a former A Rank SeeD from a good bit of time post FFVIII canon, he has been through a lot and just came from another game where bad shit happened. Mostly he is a little broken around the edges and will be so glad to see former peeps

Granted, as a former spy he is also very good at faking being okay so expect him to be cheery at you when you meet. Especially because, being unarmed, he is very agitates and falling back on spy training as a defense.

So... anyone wanna talk to someone who is torn between OMG civilization and ‘but will they let me fly something?’

Hello, everyone! My name's CJ, and gonna apologize in advance if this gets rambly -- I'm awful with intros, I never really know what to say.

Anyway, the character I'm bringing in is a character from a tabletop game I played in a few years back (Dark Heresy/Deathwatch for those interested), Aleifr, son of Bjorn. Without getting too bogged down in the specifics of Warhammer 40,000 as a setting, the basic story is that he's a 23 year-old, giant, taciturn viking from a place where iron age technology is the peak for pretty much the entire planet. He's never left his homeworld, he's never seen any sort of tech that would make him think that was even an option ... so, in short, something like Dualis is literally beyond the scope of his imagination at present, and he's in for a pretty wild ride upon arrival. I've got some more info about his setting and backstory in my app, but if anyone has any questions about anything, please hit me up.

As a person though, Aleifr is ... He's hard to get to know, at first. He's got a near-permanent scowl, doesn't talk much unless he's got something to say, and even then he's pretty brusque. Underneath that, though ... well, he's still gruff, but he's got a marshmallow center.

He'll be confused and agitated on arrival from the culture shock overload of being in a massive city, but he'll be asking a lot of questions so there's an opportunity to get him talking right there. So if anyone wants to get to know the 6'11" tribal warrior in the room ... there's your opportunity, I guess?

+1 Bat

Sup dudes! I know like, 90% of you but for those not in the loop, I played Steph at 6i before as [personal profile] spoileralert.

For the other 10%, I'm Alex, and I'm excited to throw this pun-loving ball of spunk at you all.

I'm also here to introduce myself. I'm Binky (I've threaded with at least one person from a previous game, way back in the far when). I'm playing Hank Anderson from Detroit: Become Human, and Yondu Udonta from Guardians of the Galaxy, as I'm fond of crotchety grumpy neanderthal men.

Hank's a cop from Detroit (likely a former cop, as he punches a federal agent as a distraction to help save his partner from disassembly) and from the full liberation DBH ending. He's finally coming to grips with his young son's death three years ago and no longer blaming androids for it. His favorite color shirt is "hippy grandma's quilt fabric" and his favorite words all have four letters.

Yondu is Peter Quill's adoptive father who waited too damn long to admit that, and is bitter and greedy and generally has a mean sense of humor. It's stifled right now but Yondu usually has the ability to yeet an arrow in whatever direction he pleases through cybernetic cranial implant and strategic whistling. If someone technically capable would want some CR/something to do, he'll probably eventually ask for help concerning why it's not working right.

I'm looking forward to playing them here and I hope we all have a good time.

Hi, I'm Carolyn and I followed Ty home, so blame her.

I'm playing 2nd Lieutenant Miranda Nero from Warhammer 40,000, a franchise that started out as a satire of Thatcherite Britain and is now...not that. It's still ludicrously OTT, though.

Mira is a junior officer in the army of a militaristic, theocratic, xenophobic, and generally just awful space empire, and she thinks that's dandy because childhood indoctrination is a hell of a drug. She's young and not a religious zealot or political hardliner, so she's not going to be starting physical fights, but positive CR will be an uphill battle for anyone who's visibly not a garden-variety human. On the bright side, she's nice once you get to know her. By Warhammer standards.

Anyway, I have an opt-out post on this account. Warhammer is the canon that gave us the term "grimdark," and Mira herself isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, so if there's anything you don't want to get into or if you'd prefer to avoid having your alien/mutant/robot talk to the violent Luddite xenophobe entirely, please let me know.
