[Insert Viking Pun Here]
Hello, everyone! My name's CJ, and gonna apologize in advance if this gets rambly -- I'm awful with intros, I never really know what to say.
Anyway, the character I'm bringing in is a character from a tabletop game I played in a few years back (Dark Heresy/Deathwatch for those interested), Aleifr, son of Bjorn. Without getting too bogged down in the specifics of Warhammer 40,000 as a setting, the basic story is that he's a 23 year-old, giant, taciturn viking from a place where iron age technology is the peak for pretty much the entire planet. He's never left his homeworld, he's never seen any sort of tech that would make him think that was even an option ... so, in short, something like Dualis is literally beyond the scope of his imagination at present, and he's in for a pretty wild ride upon arrival. I've got some more info about his setting and backstory in my app, but if anyone has any questions about anything, please hit me up.
As a person though, Aleifr is ... He's hard to get to know, at first. He's got a near-permanent scowl, doesn't talk much unless he's got something to say, and even then he's pretty brusque. Underneath that, though ... well, he's still gruff, but he's got a marshmallow center.
He'll be confused and agitated on arrival from the culture shock overload of being in a massive city, but he'll be asking a lot of questions so there's an opportunity to get him talking right there. So if anyone wants to get to know the 6'11" tribal warrior in the room ... there's your opportunity, I guess?

... okay he's not that bad about it anymore but he doesn't like being kidnapped hence grumpy.

He doesn't mind people who are blunt/straightforward either. It's just somehow his destiny to end up with cheerful people who like him... or people who like to troll him or both at once.
no subject
He feels that bit about ending up with cheerful people and/or trolls on a spiritual level, though - especially since he wound up marrying one of 'em.

fdsjgs he's dating one of his own too. What is life.

Aleifr doesn't know, anymore, dude.

He can be judgmental of adults tho but then again 90% of the adults he encounters suck...
Cheerful people will rule the world and they're just along for the ride.

aside from them being shamelessly into each otheris her dragging him along into things.I will say, though, it'll be interesting to have him encounter people with like ... a modern idea of adulthood. Because he's 23, and on Fenris - a subsistence society - he should probably be a father of two by now. In any other world, though?

A baby indeed. Squall's a bit of a broken measure with his views on adults but it's definitely more conventional. He'll probably need to take a minute if Aleifr ends up talking about his home. 'what is this apocalyptic-like place?'
no subject
Hell, basically. Fenris is hell, lol
no subject
Squall might relate to that. (as if he's not secretly cuddly himself)
Yeeep. Dualis might be comparatively nicer. Might.

Oh no ... Dualis is nicer. On Fenris, the wolves can grow to the size of tanks, and even the fucking deer are ready to murder you.
