JULY RUNDOWN.

Eyyy, y’all survived your first week in Dualis, congrats! And what a week it’s been - robots, a bombing, mayhem and destruction. Treat yo selves to a nice snoobloo-flavored cookie for making it!

The city never really rests, however - keep reading for the rundown of what’s happening in July!

July will be a little more chill on mod-run activities, to give everyone time to catch their breath after the big bombing deal and continue investigations. Still plenty of opportunity to build CR and explore the setting, as well as for players to run their own mini-plots, if desired.

Apps will be open July 1-7, and activity check will be held July 1-5. After that, we’ll have two easy-going activities available in a mod-posted log.

Remember the NAPs option on the TDM? This will be a regular monthly feature, so residents who’ve been here a while can get to know newbies and each other a little better. Participation is optional, of course, but don’t you want to make a new friend or two?

The July NAPs session will run from July 10-14.

Also kicking off on July 10 is a long-running Dualis summer tradition: a city-wide marker tag competition. For three weeks, all participants who accept the challenge will be given a marker and set free to tag anyone else in the city by making a mark on their skin, while attempting to avoid being tagged themselves. The ink marks last three weeks but will easily wash off after the competition concludes on July 31.

But what about that bombing last month? On July 15, the group responsible for the attack will send out another mysterious city-wide message via pirate radio broadcast. There won’t be a log for this set up by mods, but players are free to react to it however they choose. Perhaps someone would like to organize another investigation?

Please feel free to ask questions below and use this post as a place to plot things out amongst yourselves!

Are markers all the same color or are there a cacophony of colors? All black means better visibility on people with dark skin like David [not to mention blue on Yondu? Nope but colors makes it feel more festive. Or is it maybe like special fluorescent ink that because tech is just glaringly obvious on anyone?

Also are there safe zones? Like people who share a dorm room can’t tag each other in them, so they can like sleep? Is the NAP event a safe zone?

Do markers not leave marks on those not playing?
