A. Welcome Wagon

Why has this place brought in a little kid? Or little enough kid. Abby sighs and taps her foot in the air as she considers the person across from her nervously. Interacting people in an honest matter? Totally not her strong suit. But she is adorable and that usually works.

“Uh,” she says, frowning at the cue cards in front of her. “My name is Abby and... shoot these questions suck. Okay, uh, favorite fruit, go.”

It says a lot about a person, their favorite fruit. Or she though so. Her world didn’t have a lot of fresh produce after all.

B. Bug in the Code

Bug? This isn’t a bug. This is a blessing. Normally Abby is all of four foot eight, and frankly she doesn’t expect that she is going to get much bigger. Except damn this is the best vaccine ever, even if trusting computers is sorta like trusting megacorps and is so totally stupid. But man, free healthcare? Down for that if it means not getting sick. And this?

The only downside of being suddenly six feet tall is that her leather coat has to be wrapped around her waist and her jeans are more like capris now. But she happily walks around the grocery store now, offering to get things down for other people.

C. TANSTAAFL

The paper is rude. The paper is cruel. The paper has a girl just about in tears as she kicks the kiosk. But it makes sense, right? The girl, sixteen and small and probably cute as a button when she wasn’t fighting back tears. The paper falls out of her hand too, as she punches the machine.

Florist the paper declares. A lovely job for a lovely teen. Except she is cursing anyway.

“You fucking piece of shit machine. Should turn you into spare helmet parts. Shove you into a fusion drive. Drop you off of the roof of Errera!”
