[This feels...weird. Really weird. But honestly, maybe that's because it feels so normal?? Don't get him wrong, after the Harvest-Moon-but-with-monsters vibe of the last place, Billy's super grateful for things like consistent electricity, food he doesn't have to forage for, and, oh yeah, his powers, limited though they may be, but this just puts him right over into serious uncanny valley territory.
Still, doesn't hurt to give it a shot, right? They might as well make friends while they're here, and maybe someone else will have a better idea of what's up with this city. Or at least where he can find a decent cheeseburger. Offering his new partner a grin and a wave as they slide into the seat across from him, Billy starts with the first prompt on the cue card in front of him:]

[Okay, he's been strong for like a week, but the lack of snacks and good shampoo is killing him, so it's time to get down to business and find a job. The system seems basic enough; plug in his skills, education, and previous experience, get a job. No fuss or fancy interview outfits required. Only...well, he doesn't seem to be so sold on his job, staring at the card in his hands with something faintly like dismay. Barista? Seriously? What is this, New York circa the year 4000??? Sighing, he turns to the person at the next terminal, shrugging and showing them his card.]
Well....at least I'll get free coffee...gotta look on the bright side, right?
