(Spoilers for an oldass video game follow)

Hello everyone!

I'm Zero, a brand new player, coming in with Cloud Strife who is taken from (original!) FFVII.

He's coming in pretty early on in the game. He's taken from the Temple of the Ancients canon point right after handing over the Black Materia, unfortunately having a doozy of a mental episode and beating up everyone's favourite adorable flower girl because oh god, this man has serious problems. He's probably going to be rather confused to be here, but I imagine the brief chat he would have had with the Head would've gone a long way toward clearing up any questions he might have.

He's jumping right into mercenary work as an occupation, performing low-level tasks for the criminal underworld in Dualis.

His logic in this is that he's hoping to keep his head down, serve his agreed year and get back to being called by chasing down Sephiroth, but I would appreciate any and all interruptions to his plans to shut up, put up, and get back home ASAP. So please feel free to tag him and bother him, I'd very much enjoy all interactions! His discomfort at being bothered is directly proportional to my happiness.

I have a permissions post right here, and comments are screened for player privacy.

One last thing: I may be a little slow to respond, since I am GMT, but I hope to not keep anyone waiting that long, since I'm on my computer most of the day. With regard to reaching me, I do have discord (which you can pick up on the channel!) but I prefer plurk because I do forget about messages. A lot. I can be found at @ lodestars there.

It's really nice to meet you! Admittedly, I'm Probably the only person in the world which is canonblind to Star Wars, but thank you for explaining Force abilities really well in your permissions post. It made a lot of sense, even to someone like me whos eyes usually glaze over at Star Wars stuff!

Oh my god yes. The remake was sold for me on last E3 because Tifa.

Yes, it'll be really fun! Unfortunately, I'm PC / Handheld only (until the FF7 remake, ofc) and I haven't played KH3, But I was super into BBS on Vita. KH3 spoilers are totally fine by me, I think I've seen everything I need to know through watching walkthroughs \o/

Yess. I may be planning to have him build up to leading a grocery store coup as a mini plot at some point, so if Cloud ever wants to get involved in a literal food war.

I'm canonblind on a lot of popular stuff, so I've been there. I think people tend to go into too much detail 'cause they haven't really considered what other players genuinely need to know to make a decision. Permissions posts aren't really about the canon itself. If someone cared how the Force worked on a metaphysical level, they'd ask, y'know?

Also, I forgot that I have a permissions post for Mira, too, but she has no powers and it's pretty must just an opt-out for all the terrible crap from Warhammer and having a space fascist be awful in your character's general direction.

Yes, I should defs do that! I don't know so much about Warhammer either, but osmosis has taught me terrible, terrible things happen in that universe, oh boy.

SAME i had a hard time with ff7 originally BLASPHEMY, I KNOW but I'm hoping the remake can expand on things and make me really interested again. But I was complaining about it until Tifa showed up XD so at least she's there now!

I mean, that's how i know anything about chain of memories LOL i can't play the card system to save my life. Thank goodness for walkthroughs!!!

I have severe nostalgia goggles for FF7 because it was my first :'D But I totally get what you mean. I'm pretty much a fan of the episodic thing they've said (though I wish they wouldn't call it 'episodic', for me it's got a bad taste after FF15) and all-in-all, I'm so down for their idea of fleshing every part out with new content revolving around the cast (especially what they said about fleshing out Biggs and Jessie's relationship aaaaa)

All-in-all, come faster March. Come faster.

OH GOD CHAIN OF MEMORIES I REMEMBER THAT CARD SYSTEM completing that game was. fff. so needlessly finicky but what a good plot. BBS is my favourite for plot. So much. but I really liked CoM too...

Ah yes, the "good plot, horrible gameplay" problem. Always a fun one! BBS is still my hands-down favorite of the series and I don't see that changing! I loved the story and I actually really enjoyed the gameplay style. CoM... was definitely a good plotline but uughh the gameplay XD
