The angle on the network device doesn't afford Markus a good view of the screen and he frowns in curiosity. He doesn't flinch at her nickname for him, thought she hasn't asked what his actual name is. He's been called worse, after all. He's also more fascinated that he's never seen or heard of anything like her before. It's saying something, considering he has a bit of a collection of fiction and speculative science books in his database.

It isn't fair to start with so invasive a question, though, so he instead redirects his attention to her device again. "You seem pretty intent on whatever that is. Do you feel like sharing?"
