Instead of refuting that claim, Tannis just doesn't respond to it. Maybe the woman could catch her, but that's really not the point. She can recognize that at least. But she doesn't try to move away either, so that's a plus. She'd not expected to find an encounter like this within moments of arriving, but, well. She'll definitely take what she can get.

She can definitely appreciate moving (somewhat) slowly, it'll give the both of them time to figure each other out. And Tannis more time to come to terms with revealing her Siren tattoos. The woman had said that she didn't mind but, well. There's a difference in saying that and then actually seeing them.
